KATA (Kingdom Advantage Training Academy)
Kingdom Advantage Training Academy (KATA) is the training arm of GCC to train ministry workers according to Ephesians 4:12-13 “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”(NIV)
KATA is a quarterly “training institute” for appointed leaders of the local church and credential holders who wish to serve in the local assembly in order to execute the ministry vision of Greater Community and support and sustain its growth and expansion in the region.
Music & Worship Arts (MWA)
The Worship vision of Greater Community Church of God in Christ is to engage in worship that touches the heart of God, revives the spirit of the congregation, and is sensitive to the seeker in search of God. This worship expereience results in the reflection of the very emotions of God! Our worship experience is a diverse expression of ecumenical worship with the pentecostal flavor embedded from our Church of God in Christ roots.
Our desire to touch people from various backgrounds and cultural styles keeps our ear close to His mouth for the song of the Lord and the sound of Greater Community. We also express our love for Christ through worship via dance, drama and mime! We encourage your musicial and theatrical talents to expand in this ministry.
Prayer
Prayer is a foundation of our holiness expression and ultimately our fiercest weapon disrupting demonic strategies and destroying satanic yokes. Prayer is incorporated in every ministry of the church and has been held consistently for over 60 years Monday - Friday at 9:00 am in the Mother Tommie M. Young Prayer room.
If you are looking to make a one-on-one connection with God in a personal setting, join us Monday - Friday at 9:00 am. You can also join us on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12 noon. We also have our Sunrise Devotion Prayer Call every Monday - Friday at 7:00 am. Please see the flyer below for dial in information.

Hearing Impaired
Silent Blessings is a ministry designed for the deaf and hearing impaired community. Our desire is to reach the deaf with the gospel of Jesus Christ so their lives are transformed by the power of God through the Word of God. The Silent Blessings ministry at Greater Community is focused on providing an equal experience for the deaf or hearing impaired individuals who attend our services with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation available. We also have opportunities for hearing impaired members to participate in various ministries of the church. If you are experienced in interpreting or would like to learn-we need you!
Member Services
Member Services is the unique ministry signature of our local
assembly. It is the catalyst of our ministry that connects our growing
membership with essential information, services and ministry
opportunities both within our church and our community.
Member Service Representatives are the people who will assist you in
navigating through the ministry by providing you with current
information, changes in schedule and updates on projects and programs.
Member Service Representatives are relational in nature, informative
and resourceful. Every member is encouraged to access your
representative for any questions you may have or for any services you
may need.
The Member Service Ministry is charged with stimulating and
maintaining the social life of the church in order to assist members
in small group development, new members orientation, participating in
the ministry offerings of special service ministries like First
Impressions, Music, Youth, etc.
Member Services shares the life of the church with individual attendees. From the moment you arrive to the moment you join; the Member Service Ministry is designed to treat you as our special friend. Our goal is to ensure we have created value for your experience at Greater Community Church.
